THE EVERYTHING APP ('we', 'us', 'our') is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, including: your name, email address, and profile details when you create an account; payment information processed on your behalf by Stripe (we do not store full card details); usage data such as features accessed, session duration, and device information; and any content you submit to the platform.
How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to: provide and maintain the platform and its features; process subscription payments and manage your billing relationship; send service-related communications such as receipts and account notices; improve the platform through aggregated usage analysis; and comply with our legal obligations under Australian law.
Third-Party Service Providers
We share information with trusted service providers solely to operate the platform: Supabase (database and authentication infrastructure, hosted in AWS); Stripe (payment processing — subject to Stripe's own Privacy Policy); Google (OAuth sign-in and, optionally, calendar integration); Resend (transactional email delivery); and Anthropic (AI features, where applicable). These providers are contractually bound to handle your data securely and only for the purposes we specify.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on servers located in Australia and the United States. We implement technical and organisational safeguards including encrypted connections (TLS), server-side encryption at rest, access controls, and rate limiting. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Cookies and Tracking
We use session cookies necessary for authentication and to maintain your login state. We do not use advertising trackers or sell your data to third parties for marketing purposes. You may disable cookies in your browser, but doing so will prevent you from staying signed in.
Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (for example, financial records for tax purposes, which we retain for seven years as required by the Australian Taxation Office).
Access and Correction
Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to request corrections if it is inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. To make a request, contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.
Complaints
If you believe we have not handled your personal information in accordance with the APPs, you may lodge a complaint with us in writing. We will acknowledge your complaint within 7 days and respond fully within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may refer your complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or a prominent notice in the platform. Continued use of the platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
